Raphael CUIR conducts researches on the repre-sentation of the body focusing on anatomy and art from the Renaissance to the present. He recently edited a special issue of Art Press 2 on "Cyborg", a theme is has been exploring for some years. He is currently editing a new augmented version of "Pourquoi y a-t-il de l'art plutôt que rien ?" to be published in March. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Getty Research Institute in the year 2005-2006 and a guest during 2006-2007. He is a collaborator of Art Press magazine and the author of numerous articles and essays. He has taught at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles (2007), he frequently lectures in universities worldwide. In 1999 he created the first art history TV Chanel on the Internet, featuring interviews of some of the most prominent art historians, curators, artists, philosophers, writers. Raphael Cuir is the President of AICA France, Vice-President of AICA International.
